Amsterdam Sights, Sounds and Hotels
In the Van Gogh Museum you will find nearly every single work, from paintings to correspondence, that was ever created by the hand of Vincent van Gogh. This is largely because of the narrow-mindedness of his family, the same which caused the artist so much pain and much of which is expressed in his pieces. The works are arranged chronologically enabling one to trace the artistic and even psychological intensification of this humble man over his short 10 year career, which was ended harshly when he ended his life at 37 years of age in 1890. Well known works on display include Wheatfield with crows; The yellow house and Sunflowers.
Amsterdam is a city of much variety and a great destination if you're looking for the spice of life. Amsterdam's Van Gogh Museum is a prime example of how even the museums and galleries breath life, and the marvellous Amsterdam hotels are also an attraction in themselves.
